We are now looking for Field Service Engineers (Process, Automation & Mechanical) in Sweden to meet the growing regional and global demand.
Responsibilities:
- Execute field service activates per Wärtsilä procedures and general practices safely and cost-effectively.
- Perform basic troubleshooting, running tests, fine-tuning, adjustments, trimming related to running performance, on equipment.
- Independently perform significant/complex repairs and complete overhauls. - Perform warranty and commissioning activities, handing the equipment over to the customer.
- Perform internal and external progress status of the assigned work.
- Participate in pre and post briefing for each mission
- Create the Service Work Reports.
- Collect and organize time and expense reports. Reporting and informing administrative personnel as required.
- Ensure that the work is executed according to Wärtsilä Quality, Health, Safety, and Environmental guidelines and customer site procedures.
- Issue WeCare and Non-Conformance Reports when appropriate to ensure "lesson learned" from experience gained at service jobs
- Execute Client Survey after each job
- Supervise the task performed by Wärtsilä employees and subcontractors.
- Advice and promote Wartsila products and solutions to customers.
Requirements:
- Willing and able to meet an extensive travel program
- Good computer skills
- Relevant hands-on experience in process, mechanical and electrical disciplines - Fluent command of Swedish & English, written and verbal
- Service and team mindset.
- Structured, good attention to detail, and self-motivating.
Beneficial:
- BSc in Process, Automation, Mechanical, Electronic or Mechatronic Engineering .
- Knowledge in Siemens PLC or similar control systems

Wärtsilä Gas Solutions in Kalmar develops and manufactures plants that purify biogas from carbon dioxide, hydrogen sulphide and water, which enables the purified renewable gas to replace fossil energy in vehicle fuels and in all applications where (fossil) natural gas is used today, in both gas and liquid form (CBG/LBG). We also work with development projects in carbon dioxide capture (CCS) and synthetic gas (P2X). The unit in Kalmar currently has 28 employees and good market prospects mean we need to grow. We are part of the Gas Solutions business area with headquarters in Asker, Norway, which in turn is part of the listed Wärtsilä with headquarters in Finland. In Kalmar we have both the office where we do all engineering, and the workshop where the prefabrication, assembly and testing is done before shipping the modules to our customers. Typical lead time for a project is 6 to 12 months, and sometimes longer, like the BIOMETHAVERSE project funded by the EU which you will be a part of.

We are now looking for Field Service Engineer(s) (Process, Automation & Mechanical) in Kalmar, Sweden, to meet the growing regional and global renewable Gas demand.

Requirements:

- Relevant ' hands-on experience in process, mechanical and electrical disciplines within LPG/LNG/VOC/IG and Flare Gas systems.
- Fluent command in any Scandinavian (Danish, Swedish or Norwegian) languages & English, written and verbal
- BSc in Process, Automation, Mechanical, Marine, Electronic or Mechatronic Engineering
- Service and team mindset.
- Structured, good attention to detail, and self-motivating.
